I made my way to Sentosa by boarding the cable car at HarbourFront Station. There are several different rates of purchasing the ticket. You have to decide whether you want a one-way ticket or a return ticket. A one-way ticket for an adult will cost S$17.90 while a ticket for a child will cost S$9.00. A return ticket for an adult will cost S$18.90 while a ticket for a child will cost S$9.50. Prices will also depend on what type of cabin you choose. If you want to have a better bottom view, you can choose a glass bottom cabin which is slightly more expensive. It cost S$21.90 for an adult and S$12.90 for a child. However, if you were to choose a glass bottom cabin, there will only be return tickets, as they don’t sell one-way tickets for a glass bottom cabin. For myself I purchased a one-way ticket instead of a return ticket (although it is another additional $1 differences only!!) as I wanted to try other modes of transportation when I’m leaving the island.
I was rather frightened at first when I boarded the cable car as I was afraid of heights. But soon, I managed to overcome my fear because the cable car is enclosed! Alright, back to the topic. The view from the top is magnificently beautiful and stunning! I would advice you all to take the cable car ride into Sentosa so as not to miss this golden opportunity. Because the view from the cable car is just simply amazing! You just have to try it to believe it.
After alighting from the cable car, which is at cable car arrival plaza, my main transport to get around Sentosa is either by foot or hopping onto any of Sentosa Bus. Sentosa Bus is actually a form of shuttle service that is being provided for the visitor's comfort and convenience. This shuttle service only have 3 different lines going around the island. They are the Red Line, Blue Line and Yellow Line.
and of course, to start my day right and taking advantage of the hot and sunny weather, i headed to the beach!
oh! before I get started about the wonderful beaches in Sentosa, i'll just talk alittle more about 'How to get around Sentosa'. there's in total about 5 ways to get around Sentosa (excluding car and by foot). there is the beach trams [to get around the 3 beaches], the Fort Siloso Bus, the Sentosa Express [serving 4 stations located all over the island], the Open-top bus and lastly, the Sentosa Bus.
While I was on my way back from the island, I was initially shock before relief sets in when I saw pirates on the beaches. But fear not kids, Captain Palawan is a friendly yet fun-loving pirate which appears at Palawan beach every sat and sun or during public holidays. Captain Palawan certainly entertained me even though I’m not a part of his treasure hunting adventure crew but nevertheless it had been a fun experience with a pirate, thank captain Palawan.Labels: Guan Yi and Edward
