Hello everyone! We're back to bring you more about Sentosa.
In this post, you'll be able to find out what are some of the interesting attractions in Sentosa and wonderful dining locations on the island. PLUS, we've added something new and interesting into this post! But first, let us start with what to do after enjoying yourself at the beach.

Sentosa Luge and Skyrider
Sentosa Luge and Skyrider is the one and only luge attraction that you can find in Singapore. it is just located next to the Beach Station. therefore, be sure to stop by there after you've showered! Because if you don't, you're going to miss out a whole lot of fun! This superb attraction is suitable for everyone of all ages. unless you're too old or pregnant, if not, why wait?

Basically, the Sentosa Luge is a combination of a go-kart and toboggans and is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. So I was very excited when I tried it myself the other day. The overall experience was fun, especially the Sentosa Luge which is actually a self-driving car system in which riders control the speed themselves. At first, I was quite clumsy with the steer and brake, but soon, I got used to it as there were staffs there to teach and assist me in controlling the system. It was certainly a very exciting experience and I could almost feel a rush of adrenaline during the Luge ride. It is definitely worth trying!

However, if you are worried for your safety, it’s not necessary at all because the staffs there will keep a lookout on the Luge riders for safety precautions. Parents can also bring along their child for the ride with an additional charge of SGD 2 per child.

In addition, there is also a night luge available. I’m sure this is definitely a piece of good news for couples who prefer a romantic and scenic skyride.

Therefore, be it day or night, the enjoyment of the entire luge and skyride experience will definitely prove that once is never enough!

So what are you waiting for? Go for it NOW!

Here are some of the pricing details:

The Merlion
How can you say you have visited Singapore when you have not seen our very local ‘Merlion’ before? Well, if this happens to be the first time you heard it, you may have guess that it is some kind of lion. If yes, you are almost correct!
The Merlion is simply a half-lion, half-fish creature which is Singapore’s most enduring symbol. Its lion head alludes to the legendary beast that once roamed the ancient island state, while its fish body symbolizes Singapore's origin as a prosperous seaport. There are all together five of them in Singapore. However, I will only be introducing the one that is located at the Sentosa Island because it is the most majestic one.
Enough of me talking, why not take a look at the ‘Merlion’ on the left:

So now, let me bring you to the wonderland inside the Merlion!

This is something like a wishing coin ornament inside the Merlion. I was initially quite surprised when they gave me a so-called "magic" coin as I entered the Merlion. Little did I know that I was actually suppose to insert this coin into this magical looking device (picture shown above) and get a "wish" from the Merlion's mouth.

It was actually a free gift such as fan or keychain that you can redeem at the Merlion shop. I thought that this is quite an interesting idea and not to mention you can get some freebies too!

Other than the wishing coin, you can also see some crafting of the mythical creatures such as legendary sea dragons and mermaids too. You’ll feel as if you are really under the deep sea!

Before proceeding to the upper levels, visitors will get to see a 5 minutes animated movie on how the ‘Merlion’ came about. I should say that the story is both educational and entertaining and this is definitely a great place for both adults and children!
Take a small elevator up to the Merlion’s mouth and you would definitely be amazed by the stunning 360° view of Sentosa and Singapore’s southern shores. And TAKE NOTE! Have you brought your camera to capture these precious moments? No?!? No worries (laughs*), there are staffs who will help you to take photographs at the mouth of the Merlion with the sceneric view. They will then make your photographs into souvenir pictures such as postcards which you may purchase from the Merlion souvenir shop downstairs. SMART! I was surprised by their creativity in doing the business.

These are some of the Merlion toys that were being sold at the Merlion souvenir shop. Although they don’t really look like the real Merlions, I think that there are some selling points to them because they are so CUTE! (smiley*) Don’t you think so? And of course there are some other things such as merlion chocolates and merlion keychains that you may purchase from the souvenir shop too.

Also don’t forget to visit the Merlion Walk, a 120-metre-long Gaudi-inspired mosaic walkway which is located at the back of The Merlion. You will sure be delighted by the special and unique design of the walkway!

Anyway, let me show you an interesting picture!

This is a picture that I got from the internet. Its exact location is at the Merlion Park. Interestingly, many do hope that what comes out of the Merlion’s mouth is free flow of beer. (laughs*) and one thing you might not know, when the locals say, someone “merlion”, it could mean someone’s saliva got onto your face.
(*evil laughs*)

Songs of the Sea

Are you ready to fall under the spell of a new nightly extravaganza set in the sea? If yes, you are in it for the Songs of the Sea at Sentosa!

This story is about a young man, Li, beginning his journey out to rescue the beautiful Princess Ami, who was trapped in an enchanted village.

During the 25 minutes live cast show, I was simply charmed by Li, who was gifted with an extraordinary voice.

Together with the combination of technology, water jets and brilliant lasers, I was amazed and stunned by those dramatic effects. They simply made me go ‘WOW-ing’ throughout the whole show and my eyes were practically ‘stuck’ to the computer imaging projected on the giant water screens. Not forgetting to mention those captivating music, making the show a mesmerising and memorable one.

Therefore, this is definitely one-of-a-kind entertainment that I strongly recommend you to go for at night after watching it myself. You definitely can’t miss this at Sentosa!

It’s easily located at the Silosa Beach just beside the Sentosa Express Beach Station, admission fee of SGD 8 per entry.

So what are you waiting for? Hurry, and get ‘drown’ in the Songs of the Sea!

Sentosa 4D Magix

At this state of art theatre, I not only experience a whole new generation of movie magic, but it also make my day with the rollicking adventure comedy of Catch Pirates.
Through the show, you will be taken to a Carribean island and joins in the hilarious misadventures of a hapless pirate crew and its wacky “Captain Lucky” on their quest for buried treasure.
I would strongly recommend you not to miss this as it is not only unique in all way but teases your senses as well! While watching it myself, I can feel that the movie comes to life and I can almost reach out and touch the characters.

This is located at 51B Imbiah Road, beside the CineBlast. Ticket per entry is priced at SGD 18 for an adult and SGD 12 for a child.

Therefore, stop hesitating and get ready to be in the middle of action in this 4-Dimension movie!

Spa Botanica @ Sentosa Resort and Spa

After such a long day at the beach, the luge & skyride and other wonderful attractions, it’s time to indulge you and your partner with a wonderful spa retreat, and Spa Botanica @ Sentosa Resort and Spa is just the place for you!

Spa Botanica is a haven for luxury and elegance. It is also continually ranked among the top destination Spas for unique experience and service by Spa Asia Magazine and voted by Conde Nast Traveller UK as "THE WORLD'S TOP 10 URBAN DAY SPA”.

Spa Botanica’s holistic approach (Mind and Body) is the main reason to be voted by Conde Nast Traveller UK as “THE WORLD’S TOP 10 URBAN DAY SPA” and many other awards every year.
Their “Mind and Body” philosophy is because of its extensive indoor and outdoor facilities which provide an environment of exercise, physical and mental cleansing and relaxation, and the highest quality spa treatments and products aimed at addressing the problems associated with modern urban living.
When I first got there, I was told to just lie by the pool, allowing my mind and body to relax gently through the therapeutic effects of water in their cascading waterfalls, floatation pools, Jacuzzis and swimming pool. They even have their own mud pool whereby guests are allowed to apply the volcanic mud freely. What amazed me most was that this pre-treatment ritual indeed increased the therapeutic effect on my spa treatment afterwards.

After lying by the pool side for almost an hour, I proceeded with my spa treatment. It would be such a waste not to try out any of their signature treatments. Hence, I went for their Singapore Flower Ritual. This spa treatment was fascinating! I was captivated by the peace & tranquility of their private garden pavilion where fragrant flowers sweetly scent the air.
The treatment began with a deep-pressure dry massage in an outdoor massage pavilion. After soothing my weary muscles accumulated from my daily stress and walking around Sentosa, the masseuse gently rubbed a special preparation of local herbs and flowers into my skin. Before soaking in a sweet-smelling frangipani filled tub, I had an aroma massage. The massage did not just moisture my skin; it literally made me feel lighter and carefree. The whole three hour treatment was amazingly awesome! I really recommend you guys out there to give it a try.

Also, I’ve done a little research on the other treatments that they have. And, in order for it to suit the itinerary, I’ve found a few day escape treatments. One very romantic treatment would be “spa two-gether day”. This particular treatment starts off with a romantic couple’s body scrub and couple’s Vichy shower and ending off with a petal bath together.
